1. Privacy Policy

※ This Policy shall be effective as of January 1, 2021.

Konan Technology (www.konantech.com) protects users' privacy and rights in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, and smoothly handles privacy and data-related issues under the following Privacy Policy.

Article 1 (Purpose of Using Personal Data)

Konan Technology utilizes personal data for the following purposes. The personal data handled by Konan Technology shall not be used for purposes other than the fulfillment of the following. Should these purposes be modified, the Company shall take necessary measures, such as receiving separate consent.

• Inquiry Processing: Personal data is used to confirm the inquirer's identification, confirm the inquiry, contact and notify the inquirer for investigation, and notify the inquirer of processed results.
• Marketing Use: Personal data is used for statistics and marketing regarding members' utilization of services.

Article 2 (Use and Retainment Period of Personal Data)

• Konan Technology uses and retains personal data according to the use and retainment period according to statutes or the period whose consent has been approved by the data subject upon the collection of personal data.
• The use and retainment period for each type of personal data is as follows:

     - In cases of inquiries or investigations according to violation of relevant statutes, until the end of the inquiry or investigation in question
     - In cases of remaining claim-obligation relationship according to the use of the website, until the resolution of the claim or obligation relationship in question

Article 3 (Duties and Rights of Data Subject and Method of Execution)

• The data subject, at any given time, may exercise their rights regarding personal data protection according to each of the following subparagraphs:
  1. · Demand for personal data access
  2. · Demand for correction in case of errors
  3. · Demand for deletion
  4. · Demand for suspension of use
• The rights according to Paragraph 1 may be exercised through a written form, email, or fax according to Attached Form 8 of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act. Konan Technology shall immediately take measures regarding such exercising of rights.
• If the data subject demands correction or deletion of personal data errors, Konan Technology shall not use or provide such personal data until the correction or deletion is complete.
• The rights according to Paragraph 1 may be exercised by a representative, including the legal representative of the data subject or a person delegated by the data subject. In such a case, the data subject shall submit a power of attorney according to Attached Form 11 of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Article 4 (Used Personal Data Items)

Konan Technology shall use the following personal data items.

• Konan Technology shall use minimum personal data for the handled task and within the range stipulated by statutes.
• Personal Data Items: Email, mobile phone number, password, log in ID, name, company, company phone number, position, department, service use record, access log, cookies, accessed IP information
• Method of Collection: Konan Technology website, phone calls, various sales activities, promotions, events

Article 5 (Matters Regarding Installation, Operation, and Denial of Automatic Personal Data Collection Device)

Konan Technology uses the following personal data items.

• Konan Technology uses "cookies," which constantly save and load information regarding service use.
• Cookies are small pieces of information the server (http) uses to operate the website transmitted to the user's computer browser. They are also stored within the hard drive of the user's computer.
  1. · Purpose of the Use of Cookies: Cookies are used to identify matters such as the status of the visit, the form of use of the website the user visited, and security access status to provide information optimized for the user.
  2. · Installation, Operation, and Denial of Cookies: The user can deny the storage of cookies by going to the Tools > Internet Options > Personal Information menu at the top of the web browser.
  3. · Issues may occur during the use of the website if the user denies the storage of cookies.

Article 6 (Procedure and Method of Personal Data Destruction)

• (1) In principle, Konan Technology shall immediately destroy personal data whose purpose of use has been fulfilled. However, it may not be destroyed in case of mandatory storage according to other statutes. The procedure, period, and method of destruction are as follows:

  2.      Unnecessary personal data and personal data files are handled according to the following under the responsibility of the personal data protection officer:

      - Destruction of personal data
         (1) In principle, personal data whose retainment period has expired shall be destroyed immediately upon the date of expiry.
      - Destruction of personal data files
         When the purpose of the personal data use has been achieved, or when the file becomes unnecessary due to the termination of a corresponding service or business closure, the personal data shall be destroyed immediately upon the day the use of personal data is deemed unnecessary.

  3. B. Storage Period According to Statutes

   - Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc.
      Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscription, etc.: 5 years
      Records on payment and supply of goods, etc.: 5 years
      Records on consumer complaints or dispute settlement: 3 years
   - Framework Act on Electronic Documents and Transactions
      Records on electronic document distribution through certified electronic address: 10 years
   - Protection Of Communications Secrets Act
      Login records: 3 months

  4. C. Destruction Method
  5.      1) Data in electronic form shall be destroyed through technical methods in which the record cannot be recovered.
  6.      2) Personal data printed on paper is shredded or destroyed through incineration.

Article 7 (Personal Data Safety Security Measures)

Konan Technology enacts the following managerial, technical, and physical measures according to Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

1. · Managerial measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, regular staff training, etc.
2. · Technical measures: Management of access permissions to the personal data handling system, installation of the access control system, and installation of antivirus software
3. · Physical measures: Limitation of access to the data processing room, data storage, etc.

• (2) The data subject may request all inquiries, complaints, and claims of damage relief regarding personal data protection during the use of Konan Technology's services or businesses from the Personal Data Protection Officer or the department in charge. Article 9 (Amendments to Privacy Policy)

This Privacy Policy shall apply from its enforcement date. Additions, deletions, and corrections of modified matters shall be notified through announcements 7 days before enforcement of changed terms in accordance with statutes and guidelines.
