• "User" means an individual using the Service or the company to which the user belongs.
• "AI Ethics Guidelines" means the AI ethics principles prepared and published by Konan Technology Co., Ltd.
• "Output" means any and all results generated or produced based on data entered by the User in the course of using the Service, together with all related materials.

• The Service operates based on artificial intelligence technology and includes generative artificial intelligence functionality.
• The name and version of the artificial intelligence model(s) included in the Service and, where a third-party model is included, its distributor and license, will be specified in the product user manual or accompanying materials. The Company will provide a copy of the applicable license with the product.
• If the User uses the Service solely for the internal business purposes of its own employees, all or part of paragraphs (1) through (3) of Article 23 of the Enforcement Decree of the Framework Act on the Development of Artificial Intelligence and the Creation of a Foundation for Trust may not apply pursuant to Article 23 (4) 2 of that Decree. The User shall notify the Company without delay if the scope of use extends beyond such internal use.
• The Company provides product features and configuration guidance to enable the User to comply with obligations to notify final users of the Service and to label generated outputs.
• If the User intends to use the Service in a high-impact artificial intelligence area under subparagraph 4 of Article 2 of the Framework Act on the Development of Artificial Intelligence and the Creation of a Foundation for Trust, the User shall notify the Company of the intended use in advance and consult separately with the Company.

• The Company provides functions that allow the User to generate Outputs based on AI technology using the Service.
• The Company continuously strives to improve the accuracy, reliability, stability, and usefulness of the Service. Due to the probabilistic nature of machine learning, the Service may in some cases generate Outputs that do not accurately reflect actual facts. By agreeing to these Konan LLM Terms of Use, the User acknowledges the following:
  1. • Outputs from the Service may not always be accurate. Outputs must not be relied upon as the sole source of factual information or as a substitute for professional advice.
  2. • Before using or sharing an Output, a person should review it for accuracy and appropriateness.
  3. • Content about another person contained in an Output may not be used for purposes that could have a legal or other significant effect on that person.
  4. • The Service may generate Outputs that are incomplete, inaccurate, or offensive, and such Outputs do not represent the views of the Company.

• The Company will publish its Privacy Policy on the Konan Technology website and comply with it.
• If an opinion or complaint raised by a User is deemed justified, the Company will take appropriate measures and notify the User of the reasons and the handling schedule by email or other means. If immediate handling is difficult, the Company will likewise notify the User of the reasons and the handling schedule by email or other means.
• If it is confirmed that use of an Output outside its intended purpose is likely to cause harm to a person's mental well-being or property, the Company will notify the User of the reasons and the handling schedule by email or other means.
• If significant unforeseen harm occurs or is expected to occur during use of the Service, the Company will suspend the system to prevent the spread of harm and will notify the User of the reasons and the handling schedule by email or other means.
• If the Service can no longer be provided due to a change in business line, discontinuation of the business, a merger or consolidation, or similar reasons, the Company will notify the User by email or other means.

• The User shall comply with the matters set forth in these Terms and with matters announced by the Company through usage guidance, notices, or other means, and shall not engage in any activity that interferes with the Company's operations.
• The Service may not be used for illegal, harmful, or malicious activities. In the event of a violation, the Company may suspend the User's use of the Service, and the User may be liable for damages incurred by the Company as a result of such activity. Examples of prohibited activities include:
  1. • Using the Service in a manner that infringes, abuses, or violates the rights of others
  2. • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or otherwise attempting to discover the source code or underlying components of the Service, including its models, algorithms, or systems, or assisting another person in doing so
  3. • Representing an Output as human-generated when it was not generated by a human
• The Company provides a checklist for the wise and ethical use of the Service, and Users are encouraged to review it before using the Service.

• The Company is not responsible for any interruption in the use of the Service or any damage caused by circumstances attributable to the User.
• Because Outputs generated by the Service may be affected by the User's usage environment, misuse, improper use, or other circumstances, the Company does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, appropriateness, validity, reliability, or other qualities of any Output.
• Because Outputs generated in the course of using the Service are produced by AI, the Company does not guarantee the legality or suitability of such content and assumes no responsibility arising therefrom. The Company is also not responsible for any legal, ethical, social, or political impact resulting from Outputs generated in the course of the User's use of the Service.
• Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company establishes and operates artificial intelligence risk management measures required by applicable laws and regulations, including risk identification and assessment, measures for providing explanations, user protection measures, and human management and supervision. An overview of these measures is available in customer-facing materials provided by the Company. The disclaimer in this Article means that the Company does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or other qualities of the Outputs themselves, regardless of whether the foregoing measures are implemented.

• Matters not specified in these Terms will be governed by applicable laws and regulations and customary practices.
• If litigation is initiated in connection with a dispute arising from use of the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's headquarters will be the competent court.

• If unforeseen damage occurs or a potential risk or vulnerability is identified in the course of using the Service, please complete the applicable form and notify the email address below or use the reporting page on the Konan Technology website. [Email address: konan@konantech.com]
• A damage report must include the following information:
  1. • Name, affiliation, email address, and telephone number of the reporter
  2. • Specific reason for the damage report
  3. • Materials sufficient to identify the damage case, such as screen capture images
• Users may freely submit feedback regarding Konan LLM in the course of using the Service. In such case, please use the reporting page on the Konan Technology website.

• With respect to privacy breaches and AI ethics violations under the AI Ethics Guidelines, the Company's obligations under Article 5 of these Terms, and damage reports under Article 11, where the Company has an obligation to notify a User, the Company will notify the relevant User by email or, if the matter affects all users, by posting a notice on the Konan Technology website. The notification procedures are as follows:
  1. • (Privacy Breach Handling Procedure) The reporting User will be notified of the relevant measures at the email address registered by that User.
  2. • (AI Ethics Violation Handling Procedure / Article 5 Company's Obligations / Article 11 Damage Reports) The reporting User will be notified of the relevant measures at the email address registered by that User. If the AI Ethics Officer determines that the matter affects all users, the results of the measures will be posted in the website notice section.
  3. • (Article 5 Company's Obligations) If the Company proactively identifies a matter that falls within the Company's obligations under Article 5, the Company will immediately post the relevant measures in the website notice section.

These Terms of Use are effective as of August 17, 2023.

These Terms of Use are amended effective September 15, 2026. The amended provisions (Article 3-2, Article 9 (4), and Article 11-2) apply to contracts entered into on or after the amendment date. Any retroactive application to existing contracts is subject to a separate agreement.
